Le Salon by thé des écrivains

Le thé des écrivains (the writers’ tea) is a tea I discovered a long time ago…

In Sep 2011, they opened their tea place: Le Salon by thé des écrivains, a very nice place hidden in the heart of the Marais area.

I like to go there for the tea time, nice gifts, write, get inspired or have deep talks with friends…

Une boutique élégante qui donne envie de TOUT acheter… De beaux livres, de la papeterie, une sélection de beaux objets et… du thé!!!

It is also a chic shop with tea, books, stationaries and a full of adorable selected items.

Une salade thaï avec un thé Allemand. Thaï salad with a German romantic tea.

For a light lunch. I would say I did not feel the Thaï inspiration.

Poisson à la thaï avec un thé des écrivains Japonais – Thaï fish with a Japanese writer’s tea.

The rice was well cooked and the fish simple and good.

Tarte à l’abricot à la pistache et crème fouettée – A huge piece of apricot tart with pistachio and whipped cream.

Like a homemade comfort pie.

Cake au chocolat et sa crème anglaise – Chocolate cake and custard cream.

Not very chocolaty but the dryness of the cake was balances with the cream.

I would say it is a place to have a simple lunch and a nice tea time.
