UMAMI MATCHA CAFE x HELLO KITTY ! So Kawaï !

2018年6月27日から2018年8月5日まで、「ウマミ・抹茶カフェ」は一時的にハローキティ 専門カフェに変身します。！
ハローキティ特別メニュー、UMAMI MATCHA CAFE x HELLO KITTYのコラボレーション食品やコレクター作品！
チョーカワイイですね~♪！

Je vous avais parlé d’Umami Matcha Café, à son ouverture (printemps 2016).

A l’époque, les saveurs de matcha étaient, à mon goût, trop légères.
Quelle surprise de constater que les équilibres de goûts sont parfaits maintenant !!!

I wrote about Umami Matcha Café, at their opening (spring 2016).
At the time, the matcha flavors were, to my taste, too light.
What a surprise ! The balance of tastes are perfect now !!!

Umami Matcha Café x Hello Kitty

From breakfast to tea time, the ephemeral collaboration menu「Umami Matcha Cafe x Hello Kitty」 is crafted with creativity and with a wide range of choices.
I tried to reason with myself … This is only visual blah blah blah … But it’s too kawai …
From salty to sweet everything was very good and healthy.

Du petit déjeuner au tea time, le menu éphémère de la collaboration「Umami Matcha Cafe x Hello Kitty」est élaboré avec créativité et un grand éventail de choix.
J’ai essayé de me raisonner… Ce n’est que du visuel bla bla bla… Mais c’est trop kawaï…
Du salé au sucré tout était très bons et sains.

An example of starter: eggplant with white miso.
The eggplants melt in the mouth and are well seasoned.

Un exemple d’entrée: aubergine miso au blanc.
Les aubergines sont fondantes et bien assaisonnées.

Hello Kitty Poke Bowl (in a lunch menu at 22 € with a tofu starter or a matcha cupcake)
Haenuki rice, salmon with ponzu, cucumber, radish, watermelon, sumono beet, pine nuts, sesame, red onion.
Not tested.

Poke bowl Hello Kitty (dans une formule déjeuner à 22€ avec une entrée tofu ou un cupcake matcha)
Riz Haenuki, saumon au ponzu, concombre, radis, pastèque, betterave en sumono, pignon, sésame, oignon rouge.
Pas testé.

Kitty Tea Time

Kitty Latte, mini cabbage, mini tiramisu, and mini shortbread ganache.
The matcha is perfectly balanced and the pastries are delicious. Fully recommended !

The matcha / strawberry tiramisu is fresh with a perfect matcha / sugar balance!

Isabelle Clamagirand and Brian Alan Valette showcase their specialty teas and coffees in a friendly atmosphere.

The coffee is roasted by Brian at the collaborative roaster The beans on fire.
I am impressed by their sharp and rare teas selection.

Le café est torréfie par Brian chez le torréfacteur collaboratif The beans on fire.
Je suis impressionnée par leur selection de thé pointus et rares.

The home made cakes with organic flour are created by Isabelle with a lot of heart.

Les douceurs à la farine biologique crées par Isabelle avec beaucoup de coeur.

Discovery of a subtle and refined teas.
The “tea of the day” allows to discover a rare slow-brewed tea, at very nice price (2.5 € the little cup).
There is a smart selection of teas (green, white, black, blue-green …) and infusions (even of the cascara!).

Découverte d’un thé subtil et raffiné. La formule “thé du jour” permet de découvrir un thé rare à infusion douce, à prix très doux (2,5 € la tasse petite).
Il y a une sélection soignée et intelligente de thé (vert, blanc, noir, bleu-vert…) et d’infusions (même du cascara !). Madeleines et cookies maison.

I discovered Umami, the brand of Laure and Jean Béguin on food exhibitions.
Their love of Japan made them start a company importing new, original rare and quality products from Japan.

Umami Matcha Café

Umami Matcha Café is a tea and coffee shop where you can have breakfast, healthy lunch with quality seasonnal food or a relaxing tea time.

Umami Matcha Café est un salon de thé et un café où l’on peut prendre le petit déjeuner, un déjeuner sain ou se détendre à l’heure du thé.

The shop has a shopping area with rare, quality Japanese groceries products, hard to find in France.

Une partie boutique propose des produits rares et de qualités, d’épiceries japonaises, qui sont difficiles à trouver en France.

Matcha

The drinks menu offers smart and elaborated choices : Japanese teas (rare) , Coutume cafés original juices and drinks matcha !
I found the matcha cortado slightly lacking flavors. After investigation, I was answered that the dose of matcha has been adapted to the European tastes to soften the bitterness of the tea.

La carte des boissons propose un choix pointu: thés japonais, cafés Coutume, jus originaux et des breuvages au matcha !
J’ai gouté le cortado (un petit latte) au matcha, manquant un peu de saveurs à mon goût.
Il semblerait, après investigation, que la dose de matcha ait été adaptée au goût européen qui apprécie moins l’amertume du thé.
Et de délicieuses pâtisseries au matcha: brioche de la Maison Landemaine, cookie, cheesecake soufflé…(financier à la chantilly au yuzu).

I am very impressed but the selection of organic teas. During my last trip in Kyoto, organic products were not that easy to find.
Here is a Matcha shot (hot water and tea only), for a bodied Matcha taste.
